Office of Diversity and Inclusion
Under the aegis of the University Graduate School, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion seeks to celebrate and promote diversity in graduate education by increasing access, retention and graduation of outstanding underrepresented candidates.
Our mission
- To connect others by creating an inclusive and multicultural educational landscape through the recruitment and retention of diverse students, especially those of domestic minority and low-income/first generation college backgrounds, who have been traditionally under-represented in graduate education
- To support students utilizing evidence-based practices by promoting a commitment to an inclusive climate for all IU graduate students through initiatives and professional development opportunities
- To engage the IU community through collaboration opportunities focusing on the academic and social sense of belonging of diverse graduate students, staff, and faculty
