Indiana University is launching Stellic, a new platform to help you plan your degree, monitor your progress, and register for classes, bringing together tools you’ve been using in different places. Stellic is used for course registration, planning a pathway toward graduation, and tracking degree progress.
Like all IU students, graduate students will use Stellic to register for courses and track progress. Because many graduate degrees – especially PhD programs – are highly individualized, your progress in Stellic may appear primarily as course and milestone tracking. Degree audits will continue to be improved over the coming semesters.
Yes! It is important that graduate students make course selections and monitor progress in consultation with their advisor and academic support staff. Refer to the appropriate bulletin to check your program’s degree requirements.
All support functions – registration, scheduling, exceptions, and degree completion – are managed by your academic unit. For students in the College of Arts and Sciences, this means your department graduate coordinator and Director of Graduate Studies. For other schools, this is typically handled by your dean's office or program office academic support staff.
