Emissaries for Graduate Education
Established in 2007, the Emissaries for Graduate Education program connects prospective and current students with experienced graduate scholars who can offer insights into the academic journey at Indiana University Bloomington. Emissaries serve as peer guides, providing support throughout the graduate application process and helping students navigate academic and professional development opportunities.

Emissaries are selected from a broad pool of IUB graduate students and trained to assist applicants by sharing firsthand experiences, offering guidance on admissions, and referring students to available campus resources. They also help new students adjust to graduate life and engage in academic and professional development activities.
