The gradSERU Survey is a comprehensive, longitudinal study that answers questions about the relationship between graduate education experiences, program characteristics, and student development outcomes.
Designed to be an academic and policy research collaboration among the nation’s leading institutions, the gradSERU Survey provides comparative data about the factors frequently documented to make a difference in the success of graduate and professional students from a cross-institutional perspective.
Why Does it matter?
The career paths pursued by graduate students are changing and diversifying at a tremendous rate. More than ever, today’s graduate programs need to continuously examine both purpose and structure in order to address student attrition, promote timely degree completion, and prepare students for the future. gradSERU provides institutions with a mechanism for obtaining invaluable feedback that helps keep programs current. This insight offers a deeper understanding of the graduate student experience and provides the context, guidance, and supporting data necessary to make changes that improve student outcomes.
