Where did you complete your Undergraduate Studies?Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA
What degree are you working toward?I am pursuing a PhD in Religious Studies. My focus is Religion in the Americas and a minor in Judaic Studies.
Why did you choose graduate school at IU Bloomington?I chose graduate school at IU Bloomington because I was excited to work with faculty who are dedicated to interdisciplinary, culturally contextual approaches to religious studies; to gain teaching experience and learn pedagogical methodologies in our field; and to join a vibrant intellectual community and grow as a scholar of religion.
What's been your favorite academic accomplishment since you've been here?I am just starting at IU Bloomington this Fall, so my favorite academic accomplishment so far has been getting accepted! I am also very grateful for receiving the Borns Jewish Studies Program Graduate Fellowship in my first year.
What do you enjoy most about life in Bloomington?I am still in the process of moving and getting to know Bloomington, but so far I have really enjoyed being able to walk everywhere, especially coming from Atlanta. I am also looking forward to exploring all of the nature and state parks in the area.
