To create a new graduate course, or to revise or discontinue an existing graduate course, faculty members must submit a proposal.
Nominate a Student for a Recruitment Award
Students must be nominated by their schools or departments to receive one of our recruitment awards. If you would like to nominate a student, please contact the Graduate Fellowships & Awards Coordinator at ugsawrd@indiana.edufor more information about the process.
You can access IU’s master course list by requesting special permission from the Office of Student Enrollment Services at (812) 855-2092.
IU’s Course Approval, Remonstrance, Maintenance, and Integration (CARMIn) system allows faculty members to submit these proposals electronically. IU’s Course Approval System instructions explain how faculty members can submit a request and how administrators can approve a request.
Download the Course Approval System instructions »
After you’ve submitted your proposal and the request has received initial approval, the proposal will be placed on the CARMIn remonstrance list for 30 days.
Faculty members may view the remonstrance list and raise objections to proposals. After 30 days, if no objections have been raised, the request is approved. To file a remonstrance to a proposal on the list, contact Mandy Bartley at Student Enrollment Services at (812) 855-2092. Email her at bartley@iu.edu
