Many graduate and professional programs at IU require you as an applicant to take and submit scores from a standardized test, such as the GRE, LSAT, and MCAT, while some programs do not require you to take a test at all.

Ask the department or program to which you are applying about its testing requirements for admission.
Be sure to look into testing requirements early in your application process. While some standardized tests are offered often, others can only be taken several times a year. Your location and weekly schedule may further limit testing dates that are available to you.
Bloomington Evaluation Services and Testing (BEST)
Along with providing testing support for IU courses, BEST administers many admissions exams on the Bloomington campus.
You may also wish to take several weeks or even months to prepare for the exam, making planning ahead even more important.
