- I am working towards a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with a minor in statistical sciences.
Why did you choose graduate school at IU Bloomington?
- IU is the location of many well recognized scholars, with excellent resources. Many of the founding fathers of sociology and criminology worked at the university. IU is a research 1 university, well recognized, and that along with the financial support the department offered me, was unmatched.
What's been your favorite academic accomplishment since you've been here?
- I published a first-authored 5000 word chapter in the Handbook of Corrections for the United States, delineating the origination and growth of specialty courts.
What do you enjoy most about life in Bloomington?
- Everyone is so inviting and the academic atmosphere fosters success.
