Ten-week residential programs for students from
other institutions:

| Students work with faculty to carry out projects in observational stellar astronomy and other fields. Program includes a trip to Kitt Peak National Observatory and use of WIYN telescopes. |

| Students are paired with mentors in biology, psychology, neuroscience or anthropology to develop and conduct independent research projects in animal behavior. |

| Students from participating HBCUs are paired with mentors in science, technology and mathematics programs at IU Bloomington or IUPUI. The research conducted throughout the summer may be carried on at a student's home institution throughout the academic year as well. |

| This program provides research experience in a wide range of experimental and
theoretical subfields, including: biophysics, condensed matter physics, high energy
physics, nuclear physics, accelerator physics, medical physics, and nuclear chemistry.
Undergraduate physics majors from colleges across the US participate in our 10-week
summer program. |
