Paper Application and IUPUI Programs

Building Diversity

The University Graduate School participates in several programs designed to expand participation of underrepresented minority groups in graduate education. Prospective student applicants who have participated in any one of several IU summer research programs, are members of a professional organization such as SACNAS, AISES, ABRCMS, NPSC or AGEP, or who apply through programs such as Project 1000, McNair Scholars Program, (3) Committee for Institutional Cooperation (CIC), or National Physical Science Consortium (NPSC) may be eligible for a waiver of the application fee.

To qualify, you must also meet the following criteria:

E-mail: newtoiu@indiana.edu

The Office of International Services, which handles international admissions, will not accept paper applications for graduate admission. International students are required to use the online application.

PLEASE NOTE: In most cases, international applicants should mail supporting documentation such as transcripts to the International Admissions address above, but there are a number of programs that are exceptions to this rule. If you are an international student, we strongly recommend that you review the application checklist for prospective graduate students on the website of the Office of International Services, in order to ensure that you follow the proper procedure and send all required materials.

Non-degree Applicants

If you have a bachelor's degree and wish to study on a non-degree basis without necessarily concentrating in a single department, you can be admitted as a continuing non-degree student on the Bloomington campus. Contact Jessica Durnal (812-856-4503) at the University Graduate School if you have further questions.

If you have general questions about applying for graduate school at IU, please contact UGS at (812-855-8853) or grdschl@indiana.edu.
