What is your hometown?

Wilmington, Delaware

Where did you complete your Undergraduate Studies?

Morehouse College

What is your major?

Mathematics

What degree are you working toward?

The degree I am working towards is a PhD in mathematics.

Why did you choose graduate school at IU Bloomington?

I chose IU Bloomington for graduate school because I felt a positive atmosphere when I first visited the math department back in 2014.

What's been your favorite academic accomplishment since you've been here?

My favorite academic accomplishment thus far at IU is when I managed to get an A in my PDE class during the fall 2015 semester. That was because I not only put in the hard work, but I didn't better than I originally expected after I took the final exam. My other favorite accomplishment is getting a plaque for the Herbert Fellowship I was awarded, because it helps remind what my goals are in graduate school.

What do you enjoy most about life in Bloomington?

Compared to the hustle and bustle that was Atlanta, GA (Morehouse College), I enjoy the peace and quiet in Bloomington. Not to mention I enjoy the pizza from Mother Bear's Pizza, the giant pancakes at the Village Deli, and spending time with my friends and classmates outside of class.
